The Federation

The Mane & Tale Dressage Federation was founded to promote the discipline of dressage through the sanctioning of events, the maintaning of standings, and recogning the achivements of dressage horses from Introductory through Grand Prix. We are here to encourage and inspire you throughout your journey.

The MTDF has no membership dues or requirements. Every horse that competes in MTDF-sanctioned events are automatically entered into our system. We recognize the top three horses of each tier (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and FEI). As we gain more competitors the standings will be expanded.

All MTDF-sanctioned events are held and ran exclusively by our director, Danyel of Costa del Oro. All shows are open to horses and ponies of all breeds.

Getting Started With the MTDF

1. Aquire a dressage horse either through creating, buying, or breeding. Stats involving trainability and movement are a plus!
2. Assign dressage as a descipline and an age appropriate level (see About Dressage for more details).
3. Begin your journey by entering MTDF shows when posted.
4. Accumulate points with each placing that count towards MTDF Standings.
